Quality thread is crucial. Among other things, it will improve your stitch quality and be better for your machine. Some signs of poor quality thread include thread breakage, inconsistent tension, excess of fuzzies, poor stitch quality, and more. Unfortunately, most thread found in fabric and chain stores is of the lowest quality available. Thread that is priced VERY low is that way for a reason. The quality is poor. We have found a few brands of thread to be of outstanding quality. Mettler, Madeira, Sulky, YLI, and others have proven to be consistent performers. Below is information on Madeira spools.
